Donald Ford, poet and novelist, requested the use of the above photo taken by RG Bud Phelps for his poem “Came Thunder and the Rain” I met Don through a Writer’s Cafe on Linkedin, and struck up a friendship. We developed a mutual interest in discussing when is Fact/Fiction and where do you draw the line. Many authors joined the discussion and I learned the use of a new word – Faction (a combination of the two). Faction has been explained as a Fact that has been modified by Fiction therefore has lost the right to be a representative of the total Fact. Interesting, don’t you think. Donald Ford has published a children’s book titled “Royal Ferdinand” which I downloaded on my Kindle and do plan on reading it to our first Great Grandchild. It was a delightful book and since the cover was not part of my kindle download Donald offered to send it to me. I sent him my email address along with several storm pictures from the August 6 2011 storm that swept through Lincoln – hence his request to use it as shown above. I recommend that you find Donald’s book “Royal Ferdinand” and read it to your children or grand children or even your great grandchildren.
