The Lincoln SCORE Chapter hosted our last workshop of 2011 this week — November 14, 15 and 16 at Southeast Community College, 84th & O Campus, and 27 people attended.
The title of the workshop was, “What’s Involved in Starting a Small Business”, and as always, the workshop was a dynamic overview of what aspiring entrepreneurs need to know to get a business up and running successfully. Each session was taught by a professional expert on that topic.
BUSINESS PLAN – Stu Spero, Nebraska Wesleyan University
LEGAL STRUCTURES FOR SMALL BUSINESSES – Darrel Stock P.C. L. L. O. Attorney
INSURANCE NEEDS OF SMALL BUSINESSES – Rich Oehlerking, CPCU, Retired
FINANCING YOUR BUSINESS – Jim Mastera, Cornhusker Bank, Retired

It was a great group of potential entrepreneurs that attended, and they participated well by asking the presenters very good questions and being attentive for each session. It is very rewarding for our Lincoln SCORE to participate in this workshop and to see the actual interest shown by the participants.
