Historical fiction is defined as novels in which a story is made up but is set in the past and sometimes borrows true characteristics of the time period in which it is set.

Gibbon’s Secrets – A novel that makes up a story about a young boy’s experiences growing up in a small town during World War II  that really happened is an example of historical fiction.

Back in the Day – A novel that makes up a story about seven cruses a young man took aboard the aircraft carrier USS Valley Forge that really happened is an example of historical fiction.

Anti-Nazi Task Force Adventures – A novel that makes up a story about two young man joining in the fight to retrieve stolen Jewish or Gypsy art that was really found is an example of historical fiction.
